Rusty’s Reading List 2015 | September 30, 2015

mikemcgee

This is a chapbook I got from Mike McGee back when he featured at VERSeFest. It came with a CD download and I have listened the crap out of the CD. It includes by favourite of all Mighty Mike McGee poems – Dirty Dimes.

I finally got around to reading the book, and I can understand why it took so long – but I was wrong to wait. Basically, Mike’s poems without Mike’s personage is lacking what makes Mike so amazing. Yet, when I was reading, I couldn’t help but hear his voice and see his face. He IS here, infused all the way through.

Mighty, indeed.
