Rusty’s Reading List 2016 | January 22, 2016

Erin Dingle is my hero.

Let’s be honest, sometimes Erin Dingle is everybody’s hero, even if they don’t know it yet.

This book is hilarious and sweet and poignant and everything.

I can read this book and discover some new wisdom imparted by Erin’s incredible daughter and think, “man, I should have had kids. They are awesome.” and then turn the page where Erin lays the straight goods about the hard times too and think, “oh right. There is that…”

Throughout there is wonderful poetry that reminds you that while this book is kind of ‘Erin as mommy’, it is really ‘Erin as human’.

It is telling, and important, that the last message this book gives is that Erin has to take care of herself too… and her daughter reminded her of that.
