Rusty’s Reading List 2016 | September 6, 2016

out-of-my-league-hardback-200x300

This book is not about baseball. It is about someone who has wanted something his whole life and when he gets it… it isn’t exactly what he was hoping for. Dirk Hayhurst gives the best insight into what it is like ‘in’ the system that I have ever read. (And yes, I have read ‘Ball Four’… which is also great.)

Being a pro athlete creates a weird prioritization of life. Their is a culture that seems normal for those in it, but is absolutely bizarre for those on the outside.

I have already read The Bullpen Gospels and I own the third book… which I will get to at some point. πŸ™‚
