Rusty’s Reading List 2018 | April 7, 2018

William Hawkinsjpg

I still consider William Hawkins’ induction to be the Hall of Honour at its best.
He is a poet that was not well known, but clearly deserved to be. rob mclennan did a very good thing when he brought Hawkins back to the collected attention of the Ottawa poetry community.

This is a a very comprehensive collection, which means (to be fair), that it includes work that will feel quite dated today, but as long as you read this with an understanding of the time, there is gold to be found.

A great remembered.
