Sometimes something is so memorable that it overshadows the rest of the journal. What can I say about the rest? It was good. Entertaining. Solid read.

But ‘The Squabbit’ by Catherine Austen destroyed me. I was reading it on my lunch break in my cubicle and when I was done I had to go to the washroom to get myself together so I didn’t become a babbling mess in front of my co-workers.

It was that good.

Another poetry journal. There is a lot of somewhat opaque poetry in this one, but there are some real gems as well.
Highlights include ‘No One Reads Anything’ by Fabio Morabito (translated by Curtis Bauer) and Circulations by Jonathan Gleason. (Though the latter really missed an opportunity by not ending with the bit at the end of ‘Pulmonary Vein’. As a poem ender, that is amazing, I was disappointed when I turned the page and realized he was not leaving us there.)
