Rusty’s Reading List 2024

I was already a fan of Kate Beaton’s Hark! A Vagrant work, but this is not that. In a way, we should be grateful for her career as a web cartoonist because it allowed her to eventually create Ducks.

This is autobiography and the story it reveals is both tragic and complicated. It is important to read the Afterward because the initial takeaway might not be what she was intending.

The place where she and I might (and I emphasize MIGHT) differ, is the idea that the world there isn’t reflective of the world everywhere.

I highly recommend this. There is quite a good chance this will be my #1 read of the year, and we aren’t quite half way through,
